Kids are interesting!
whenever we drive to a place my elder daughter "T" always finds some thing interesting to talk about and at times the conversation reaches to a very profound conclusion and some times the topic turns out to be very humorous.
She has always been fascinated by having her own house. Some times I think I am the one who ingrained this idea in her brain because right now we live in an apartment and I always wanted to have my own place no matter how small it is.So every time she will become excited by looking at some one's backyard with small slides or swing or such kid's play item she will ask me why she cant have those things.Every time my response will be that since we live in an apartment and we do not have much space we cant have those things.I am writing this as the story line is based on the fact that my daughter also wants to have our own house where she will have freedom of space to use.
Most of the time just when I am about to clean my sink full of dishes I try to call "T" to me by some way so that I can finish the most boring task of the day with her light, interesting, witty ,smart and intelligent chat .I do not remember how but the conversation some how got directed towards buying our own house. At that time someone could see the glimpse of joy on her face. She asks me:-
"mamma when we have to buy grocery Daddy goes in the car and brings things in the car trunk,we bring new clothes in the car, even small furniture but how will we bring the new house to our apartment".
I was about to burst into laughter but I did not want her to think that she said something so funny, because the ownership of a house is a big deal to her.
I tried to be very ignorant and let her imagination work, but she became very sad by the thought that the size of the house can prohibit her from having one.But as smart as she can be she wont give up there .She starts asking me the whole process of buying a house.I tried to explain to her the best I could. She got satisfied by the response whatever her little brain could understand and smiled at me with a hope that one day we will have our own house.
Do you ever wonder that it takes so little to make a kid happy and smile.
