Environment and company is a huge factor for personal development!

I am at this moment not concerned to prove any thesis, but merely to recall the memories of my childhood friend who once as a small girl I knew, was bursting with happiness, how changed into such a miserable and sad girl. Long time back when I was in standard three, I had a very close friend .Her name was Sumona. She was very witty, jolly and talkative kind of person. How was I back then, I actually don’t remember now. She was from a good family. Our school was a convent school and was only till standard fourth. We were together till the middle of standard three. Then suddenly I do not know what happened, every one started changing their school. Boys went to St.Xaviers and Girls went to Loreto convent, the two famous convent schools of our city. Sumona could not make it to any convent school, instead she went to a government school which was Hindi medium and also she had to skip 3 classes. Therefore she was admitted to class six. After that sudden transition started to app...

Lets Talk !

Every country has its own culture its own way of dressing, its belief ,ways to talk etc etc.It is not that I do not like my culture and my heritage. But when I am away from my country I do not keep doing the same things and keep living the same way I use to in my country.I had to change my self tremendously and I am still doing that every day, every moment. And I think this the reason some one came up with a very good saying that "When in Rome live like Romans." I believe this statement and try to implement in my every day life. I can enumerate so many things which I do differently than I used to do in my country, for example:- 1)I try to change my English accent. 2)I am trying to develop the taste of healthy food over here. 3)Eating habits. 4)Learn Common etiquette. 5)Dressing style. 6)Interacting with people. There are many more which I can not recall now.Starting with the first one,I have to say that it is very important to learn the accent of that place where you live.At times...

My Memories

I live in the U.S.;very far from my home,my parents and my loved ones.At times when I was in India I was so ignorant that ,I thought I am always going to live like this being the daughter of my father and sister of my brothers.I was never given any responsibility what so ever, which I don't appreciate at this time of my life. But so far so good. Few days back my father sent me some packet by courier from India. In that packet there were some sweets, new year card and some other little things. As a matter of fact the packet was not even worth Rs/-700.Some how the packet got lost in the way.I came to know about it today.I do not blame any one for this.My bad luck that it happened. For me the packet consisted of mere sweets, which was of not much value. There is some thing else which is eating my heart.I promised my friend to offer those sweets which was long awaited. The whole time we were drooling and talking about it. Apart form that there is some thing else too, which is making my heart...

Tooth Tales !

Read this blog of mine as the continuation of the previous blog, in which I wrote about my havoc teeth and its caring rituals. I don’t know if you all remember the time when you lost your first birth tooth. I still vividly remember that. This was one of our first childhood incidents which was the progression towards the adulthood. For a long time I had this first loose tooth and in spite of all kind of assurance of a new tooth coming back, I was not ready to let go this tooth. My mother would sit me down on her lap and tell me all kinds of stories, every kind of temptation and then digressing, and distracting my sole attention from that tooth, she would gently touch it. But I was smart enough, as soon as I would feel even a wee bit of force; I would hold her hand and won’t let her do what she intended. But as naughty kid I was once while playing it came off just like a popcorn. It bled for 1 minute and then every thing was copasetic. That was the first window in my mouth. After...

Brushing and Flossing Ritual!

I always suffered because of my teeth since my early childhood. But at that time I was not aware of it. In the beginning the doctor used to extract my rotten birth tooth, and it would come back again after some time. But I didn’t know the concept that teeth can be replaced only once in our life time. I thought it will come up again every time after extraction. After all my birth teeth were replaced, I still kept having problems with my second set of teeth. Back then at home there was a rule that no one was allowed to eat any thing before taking shower. I was always the witty and naughty one since was the youngest among three brothers. I would do cheating all the time. I was and still am very fond of biscuits. My biscuit cota was the minimum of 8-9 per day in those days and I would never scrimp on that . That was way too much. But in order to eat these many biscuits I had to start eating them since early morning. No one understood that, but I had no problem. I would stealthily eat the...
